The mission of the League of Women Voters of Troy, Michigan, is to provide nonpartisan information that encourages civic participation. As a nonprofit, we seek to engage the Troy community in promoting positive solutions to public policy issues through education and advocacy. We are part of the National League of Women Voters, whose 100-year history has been dedicated to the democratic process.

Running for state house district 56 and 57 are 4 candidates: Sharon MacDonell (D) and Ashok Baddi (R) (56) and Tom Turner (D) and Thomas E, Kuhn (R) (57). Running for state senate district 9 are Michael Webber (R), Theresa Brooks (D) Philippe M. Cicchini (Independent) and Jacob Schodowski (WC).

On Tuesday November 3rd there will be an election for State and federal offices as well as election of Troy School Board members. There will be four ballot proposals on the November ballot.
2026-1 Convene a state constitutional convention, 2026-2 Initiated law to prohibit campaign contributions from certain regulated utilities and government contractors, Proposal to renew the Zoological Authority millage in support of the Detroit Zoo, and a millage proposal to support historical museums such as Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, Detroit Historical Museum, Dossin Great Lakes Museum, and other public historical museums located in Wayne and Oakland Counties.
