The mission of the League of Women Voters of Troy, Michigan, is to provide nonpartisan information that encourages civic participation. As a nonprofit, we seek to engage the Troy community in promoting positive solutions to public policy issues through education and advocacy. We are part of the National League of Women Voters, whose 100-year history has been dedicated to the democratic process.

The Troy Area League sponsors meetings and events for the public specializing in Candidate forums for local races.

There will be two elections in Troy in 2026. On Tuesday August 4th there will be a primary election for state and federal democrat and republican candidates for the fall election. On Tuesday November 3rd there will be an election for State and federal offices as well as election of Troy School Board members and possibly several ballot proposals. There are number of ballot proposals that the public will be asked to sign before the 2026 November election. Because of the voters movement away from election day voting (now about 1/3 of voters) Troy has reduced the number of voting precincts from 37 to 27. For more information on the New Troy voting precincts visit the Troy city clerk's webpage by clicking on New Troy Precincts
